This is for the first time that a film producer has earmarked a specific amount for the promotion of his venture. Vistaar Religare Film Fund says that its first film project 'Victory' will receive an investment of over Rs fifty million for print and advertising campaigns. Its movie titled 'Victory' is set for release on January 30th. The movie is jointly produced by Walk Water Media, a production house promoted by Manmohan Shetty, starring Harman Baweja and Amrita Rao. VRFF Managing Director Sheetal Talwar is sure that the movie would prove a hit at the box office. He says, "We are confident that Victory will be a prudent investment decision for us and will provide fruitful returns to our investors." You may recall that VRFF is the country's first regulated film fund and was launched in March 2008 with a corpus of Rs 2000 million. Incidentally, this is a joint venture between Religare and Vistaar Entertainment that will invest in and provide finance to film projects through special purpose vehicles set up to exploit individual film revenue streams. The Fund shall also provide finance to enterprises, entities and ventures involved in film production with an intention to generate risk-adjusted returns. Currently, VRFF has nine projects in various stages of production, it is reliably learnt.
It's amazing that cricketers are all set for 'Victory'. So far the cricketers were restricted to IPL and ICL. Yes, we are talking about Manmohan Shetty's upcoming flick, which stars Indian and International cricketers along with Herman Baweja and Amrita Rao in the main lead roles in the movie. These players are there as the story of the film is about the game cricket and the passion and obsession associated to the game. The film is about a father who dreams impossible for his son and his son Vijay Shekhawat makes the dream come true! Vijay enters the game and he struggles to reach to the top, to play for Indian team and how he succeeds is the story of the film. 'Victory' stars cricketers like Harbhajan Singh and Brett Lee who play with Vijay. It is worth mentioning that the film was slated to be released in 2007 but got delayed due to some technical reasons. As said earlier it's releasing on the 30th of this month.
