Players will take control of Kate Walker, an American lawyer who travels to a French village to finalise the takeover of a toy factory. After witnessing the funeral of Anna Voralberg, the previous owner, she learns that the factory has passed into the ownership of Voralberg's brother who was declared dead but has been spotted in the north east.
Desperate to finalise the takeover, Kate must find Hans Voralberg, who left his home many years ago to search for mammoths in the mythical island of Syberia. On her way to Syberia, Kate must solve various puzzles to progress through the adventure.
