The director of 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' Rajkumar Santoshi is on top of the world these days for creating a record collection of Rs 45 million to 50 million during the first four days of the movie's opening in the Delhi-Uttar Pradesh territory. After the unpredicted success of the Ranbir Kapoor- Katrina Kaif starrer, the director is faced with a difficult situation. While director Santoshi is set to start his next venture with either Sunny Deol or Shah Rukh Khan, the producer of 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani' Ramesh Taurani wants him to make its sequel immediately to cash on the original movie's success at the box office. You may note that the Santoshi's movie has roared even in the presence of equally popular director Madhur Bhandakar's 'Jail' released and running simultaneously.
This is another matter that the audience for the two films is quite different. Santoshi says his producers and distributors advise him to make another comedy immediately with Ranbir Kapoor and he has Ranbir's dates for 2010. Santoshi is in a dilemma as he has almost finalized his project with Sunny and is getting a script ready for Shah Rukh. At the same time, he is conscious of Ranbir starrer 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani's sequel beating both the stars in view of the recent record making success of the Ranbir starreer.
